Puppy Waitlist Information

At Caistor Creek Spaniels, our goal is to match each puppy with the most suitable family. We are a small, personally-run program, typically producing around 2 - 4 litters per year. To help manage interest and ensure a fair process, we use a two-step system: The Interest List and the Confirmed Waitlist!​

Interest List:

The Interest List is for families who are thinking about adding a puppy to their home and would like to receive updates about upcoming litters. This gives you the opportunity to learn more about our puppies, breeds, and program before committing. 

Note: Being on the Interest List does not guarantee a puppy, but ensures you are informed about future litters and to receive timely updates about upcoming litters and litter announcements. 

 

Confirmed Waitlist:

The confirmed waitlist is for families who are ready to move forward with a deposit to reserve a puppy.

- Families are confirmed with a $250.00 non-refundable deposit (applied to the puppy purchase)

- Families select their puppy in order of deposits received, once puppies are old enough to evaluate temperament (between 5-7 weeks old).

- The Confirmed Waitlist does not open until the litter has been born. 

- Families receive guidance and support to match them with the puppy that best fits their family and lifestyle.

Puppy Selection & Policies:

Deposits - Families already on the Interest List when a new litter is confirmed will be contacted first to move to the Confirmed Waitlist. A deposit is required to reserve a place on our Confirmed Waitlist, and a second deposit is collected when you are ready to select your puppy. All deposits are non-refundable, but may be applied to a future litter if circumstances change. 

Puppy Selection - ​Puppies are chosen in order of deposit received. Families are invited to visit in-person or virtually when puppies are around 5 - 7 weeks old, to select their puppy, providing freedom to choose while we offer guidance to help match each puppy with the family best suited to their temperament and personality. Prior to deposits, families remain on our Interest List, and once a deposit is made, they move to the Confirmed Waitlist. 

Non-Breeding Contract - All puppies are sold on a non-breeding contract to ensure the health and well-being of the dog, maintain ethical breeding practices, and uphold the integrity of our program. 

Return & Surrender - Any Caistor Creek puppy or dog can be returned or surrendered at any time, for any reason. We are committed to ensuring the lifelong well-being of every puppy we bring into the world.
